The PLC-WL2503 is short throw, low-maintenance interactive multimedia projector targeting applications in educational institutions and training facilities.

Munich, 10th of January 2011 — SANYO Sales & Marketing Europe presents a highlight of this years business & education product range: the PLC-WL2503 creates an 80” diagonal image from a throw distance of just 86 cm, reducing shadows on the projection surface that affect standard throw projectors, included is the interactive capability that enables the PLC-WL2503 to turn any surface into an interactive screen. Designed to reduce the total cost of ownership, the PLC-WL2503 benefits from a lamp life of up 4000 hours in eco mode, while the period between filter replacement can be extended to a 4000 hour interval.

Ultra Wide angle projector with W-XGA resolution for interactive presentation
The PLC-WL2503 offers a W-XGA resolution (1,280 x 800 pixels) and is therefore optimized for the trend of widescreen resolutions in a 16:10 format. With its adjustable image size of 60 to 110 inch, it is suitable for all interactive whiteboards and with a throw distance ratio of 0.5:1 it can be installed very close to the projection surface. Supplied with an embedded IR camera, pen and control software, the PLC-WL2503 can make almost any projection surface interactive. The vertical keystone correction of ±20° adjusts trapezoidal distortions and simplifies installation.

Low Maintenance to reduce operating costs
SANYO has been able to increase the lamp life of the PLC-WL2503 by 30% to provide an operating time of up to 4,000 hours using a single lamp. The multilayer filter will need to be replaced after an operating time of up to 4,000 hours. Providing a reduced maintenance schedule the PLC-WL2503 offers lower running costs and a reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for the end user.

Bright, High Quality projected images from multiple sources
Based on LCD technology, the PLC-WL2503 generates bright images (2,500 ANSI lumens) that are easy on the eye and rich in colour, while a contrast ratio of 500:1 helps maintain detail in the projected image. Offering a digital HDMI input plus analogue VGA and switchable monitor re-drive the PLC-WL2503 provides input flexibility for a variety of sources, while an integrated 10 watt speaker enables the projector to deliver a full multimedia presentation.

Network control function
The built in network control function allows the administrator to control and monitor the projector from a remote location. The projector is protected against theft with the PIN code lock, integrated security bar and My Logo feature that allows for the customisation of the start up screen.
